I was diagnosed with retinal detachment (amotio retinae). I could see only a very small part of the visual field of the right eye. Right after, I asked people from our Bible prayer group to pray with me at a distance about this situation.
After the initial examinations, I had to drive 70km to another city (Košice) for further examinations and surgery. My pupils were still fully dilated from the eye drops that doctor gave me at a clinic. It was necessary to stretch both pupils. I came home and prayed for about 15minutes for my pupils to constrict (get smaller) again. It was a quick miracle because my pupils got smaller by half.
I successfully drove to Košice and underwent examinations at 3 different clinics there. There was no staff that could perform the surgery. Hence, I was recommended to go to another clinic and then another clinic… There was no qualified medical staff available at any of the clinics because of the summer holidays season and heavy workload they had. As it was Friday and surgeries are not performed during the weekend, I returned home in the evening.
Despite this extremely stressful, mentally and physically very exhausting situation, I had God’s inner peace and was not angry, unlike my friends and family. We continued to pray. I trusted Jesus. During the weekend, God almighty miraculously arranged the surgery for me on Monday in a private clinic. I was moved and shocked at the same time.
On Sunday, the day before the surgery, Stano, the leader of our prayer group, visited me, along with his daughter Lenka. They prayed for the healing of my eye and for the course of the whole surgery. Already during the prayer, I felt very intensively the unlimited power and presence of Christ. It was as if I was floating outside this world, filled with infinite peace. I didn’t feel my body. I experienced great joy and the presence of God. It was amazing. I experienced the touch of Christ – the Creator of the world.
Stano put his hand on my eyes during the prayer, and in that second I felt great relaxation in both eyes. Both eyes were very tense, overloaded and hypersensitive to light after multiple Friday examinations. Immediately after the prayer, my pupils shrunk back to the physiological values. They could not constrict after multiple exhausting examinations on Friday.
The next day, August 16, 2021, I went to Košice again because of the surgery that was miraculously planned during the weekend, thank God.
The surgery was performed 5 days after vision problems occured. During these 5 days, it was not possible to maintain the strict rest regime that is necessary for this diagnosis, so the result was uncertain. The surgeon told me that she could not promise me anything. More than half of the retina was peeled off. The retina was also torn and under washed with fluid. The damage also affected the macula – the place of sharpest vision.
The surgery was done under local anesthesia. I could feel the pain, especially during the certain tasks. When the pain was really unbearable, I began to pray intensely to Jesus in my mind. At that moment, all the pain was gone and I experienced incredible joy and euphoria !!!! Suddenly I sensed a glow around me. I felt that Christ was present.
During the surgery, I heard everything the doctors were saying to each other. I began to pray for them to have God’s guidance. It was obvious that they were really acting and making decisions under God’s power. It is an INCREDIBLE MIRACLE that despite all these unfavorable circumstances, the SURGERY WAS SUCCESSFUL. Right after that, I didn’t have any health complications that patients usually have.
A few days later, during an eye examination, the surgeon said: „THE RETINA DOES NOT EVEN LOOK LIKE IT UNDERWENT THE SURGEY.“
Eye diopter has not worsened at all!
My lens was not cloudy, cataract was not observed, as is usually the a case after such surgeries.
During the check-up, the assistant doctor said: „I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN SO CLEAN LENS AFTER SUCH SURGERY.“
MY VISION IS BACK !! In the dark, I see even better!
