A man told me about his neighbour who was treating him badly. The neighbour had been throwing something over into his yard that his animals were eating and dying from.

He asked me how he should pray for that neighbour, or what he should do about it. This happened before Christmas.

So, I advised him to pray for his neighbour and to give him a gift. Simply put, that evil would be broken by his prayers and love. The neighbour would be taken aback by the fact that the man was showing him love.

Because when the man used to get upset and curse at him, the neighbour actually enjoyed it and kept doing it. The man started praying for his neighbour and stopped cursing at him.

Jesus guided things in such a way that a perfect opportunity came up to give him a small gift. The neighbor’s conscience convicted him, and he stopped doing him harm. Thanks to the prayers, he was ready to accept the gift, and they reconciled.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (Bible, Matthew 5:44-45)
