It all began when I was born. When my mother was expecting me, she was diagnosed with HIV. There was a fairly high chance that I could have contracted it as well, since the virus can be transmitted through even a single contact with a small wound.
After I was born, they ran tests, and the results came back positive. The doctor recommended returning for a check-up in a year and a half, saying there was a chance it might disappear, but that it was implausible.
During that time, a member of my family prayed on their knees every night to Jesus Christ for a year and a half. Similarly, a close family friend also prayed for me in faith. Both of them had deep faith—almost certainty—that I would be healed through the power of God.
A year and a half later, in 2005, I went in for the check-up. And miraculously, the HIV virus had completely vanished. Suddenly, all my results came back negative.
Since its discovery, HIV has been considered highly incurable because it attacks the cells of the bone marrow, where haemoglobin is produced. Red blood cells, which are essential for nourishing the entire body, are affected. Scientists have yet to discover a cure for eliminating HIV.
There is no doubt that this was a supernatural act of Christ’s power. It has been confirmed to me a million times throughout my life that medicine is just a science, limited by human thinking.
In Jesus Christ, nothing is impossible.
