My husband works from home ever since COVID hit. Currently, I’m on a maternity leave, so we’re both home. It’s common to hear him complain about a stagnant task and sometimes I’m curious enough to ask what’s wrong. It had happened before and I was able to point him to Jesus. I always try to do it, even if it’s not easy.
I have to remind myself of Peter’s story, about how he started to drown when he didn’t fix his eyes on Jesus (Bible – Matthew 14:24-32).
I told him to surrender it to Jesus and He will fix it. My husband works in IT and his job consists of finding errors in the code and repairing it. The code can be multiple lines long, so it can be sometimes tricky to find the faulty one.
He couldn’t figure out some code he spent 2 days on, and even his colleagues weren’t able to detect the error in it. He took my words to the heart and asked Jesus to help him.
Suddenly, he found the problem in 5 minutes! He was so happy and messaged his workmates.
After a while, everyone was able to see it and find other defects in the code as well. That’s how their work usually goes: the most important part is the progress.
I can honestly say that when he surrendered the problem to Jesus Christ, his eyes were opened. The same thing happened in the Bible:
„the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.“ (Bible – Psalms 146:8)
