My story started when I went into difficult labour. As I was giving birth, I collapsed. My daughter’s health was also in danger. Now I know it was Jesus who saved us, even though I didn’t recognize Him as God back then.
Post-partum time was hard mentally and after some time, mysterious pain appeared. I was diagnosed with hydronephrosis 4 months after that. My left kidney wasn’t releasing any urine and I was in so much pain, all while taking care of a newborn. I was suffering both mentally and physically. I also had to travel to be examined and exam after exam, the opinions of doctors were divided.
I underwent the first surgery and was hospitalized afterwards. My results weren’t good and I was seeing my urologist often – they had to change tubes in my kidney but I didn’t feel better. I knew I couldn’t solve this by myself. I was praying and believed it was going to be okay. I was calmly waiting. I told Vlada about my situation and she also started to pray for me with her Bible study group. She supported me in my faith that Christ Jesus can heal me.
Vlada arranged meeting with Stano, the leader of her Bible study group. I knew something had changed after the very first prayer meeting! I felt God’s presence and my pain wasn’t as bad as before. I accepted Jesus into my life and I felt the atmosphere changing! I surrendered my diagnosis to Jesus and believed in my heart He would heal my kidney.
My physical and mental state caused a lot of trouble in my family – I was tense, angry and my health started to deteriorate because I wasn’t as connected to God as I used to. I had a meeting with Stano again and he explained to me how to solve these problems in God’s way. Stano, his daughter Lenka, Vlada and me prayed for healing of my family relationships that caused my health to worsen. Members of the Bible study group helped through their prayers as well.
Jesus gave me the ability and strength to respond to conflict in love. Thanks to Christ, the relationships are healthier and better! I feel less stress and as I continue to walk with Jesus, my health is being restored.
I wish my story could be a testimony and inspiration for people to trust Jesus. For Him nothing is impossible, we just have to surrender our lives to Him and believe!
