When I was in the 5th grade, various bad thoughts started to bother me daily, and honestly, I didn’t know how to combat them. It was affecting me so much, I started to fear men – boys, young men, even the older ones and I couldn’t bring myself to talk to them casually.
It was difficult for me to cope with it – it was a great problem when I had an oral exam or any lesson which was taught by a male teacher. I was bringing it up in a prayer for years but I had a period in my life when I was so stubborn I didn’t want to communicate with Jesus and wanted to find a solution myself. I was watching a lot of romantic TV series, including the ones with some inappropriate content which, of course, didn’t help me much.
After I gave my life to Jesus, I was praying about it continually and Jesus heard my honest cry. Last year, in the 7th grade, I had to undergo an oral exam during Geography and God’s mighty hand really showed its true power – even at the end of the semester and the end of the school year as well. When I was answering questions, Jesus gradually released me from my fear. It could happen all at once but I wasn’t truly ready at that time so He did it little by little.
After some time I decided to get baptised which is an act of giving one’s life fully to Jesus Christ. I confessed my problem completely and was really glad Jesus knows I fight against it. During the baptism, I was in a fight with myself, the Devil wanted to talk me out of it and was trying to create doubts in my head.
God is love and He laid His life down for us to have an eternal life. Satan is contrary, he voluntarily left God’s side and Light. He wants us to die in sin and not to follow God’s commandements. He is trying to get us to serve him instead of God and not to achieve true happiness and health in Jesus.
He was giving me false hope when I was watching those movies. It was a huge sin and now I can see it clearly how dangerous it really was. Now I’m walking in faith so devil can’t reach me.
When I was underwater during my baptism, I left my old self there. I stepped out of the river as an entirely new human and felt relieved.
I was ill recently. As I was slowly falling asleep, I felt God‘s gentle touch. I gave it to Jesus and I couldn‘t put it in words before but I was talking to Him and I felt this „curse“ has left my body for good.
Thanks to Jesus Christ, I can talk to men again and I know I’m not left alone in any difficult situation. Jesus is the greatest Winner and I know for sure He can help you, too. He is always listening to us, we just have to stop hesitating.
