In 2022, my fiancé and I prayed for guidance in starting a business in Germany – specifically, running a restaurant. We went to see several places in the area. We had one last place left to visit, and honestly, we didn’t feel like going there at all. The photos of the place looked dark, and the whole situation seemed strange, since the restaurant was (and still is) part of a hotel.
When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the space and the overall impression of the building. We started talking with the owners, first just with the husband. We were excited. Later, the wife joined us. I love to talk about how Jesus changed my life, so I mentioned that we wanted to run this restaurant with Him. The owner’s wife was deeply touched because they had been looking for the “right” tenants for two years; people who would lovingly care for their restaurant in the hotel. She began to cry, and later explained that it was out of gratitude, because she realized that God has His plan and solution for every situation.
Thanks to Jesus and hard work, we opened a Mexican restaurant in Germany in November 2022. The plan was clear: to run the business honestly and to share love. My fiancé is the head chef, putting a pinch of love as the secret ingredient into the food, and I am the waitress, giving more than just food to the table.
We kicked off a marathon, as we say in our industry. We started off wonderfully. The first miracle came almost immediately. We didn’t do any advertising at all, yet people quickly heard about our “love” for good food and people. We are often fully booked.
The restaurant took off. As in every business, difficult moments also came. Learning to work together as partners, managing money, employees, and customers, was challenging, but with Jesus, we successfully went through the process. Of course, it’s still growth, but we know that with Jesus, we can overcome any situation.
In April 2023, I met Stano. I know it was not by coincidence. Stano is the leader of a prayer group where Jesus has been powerfully at work for many years. I am now part of it. Thanks to Stano and his book (https://zivyjezisvpraxi.sk/discovering-the-gospel-of-jesus-christ/), I understood the meaning of Life, how to continue building my relationship with Jesus and how to receive God’s help through faith. I prayed for my fiancé, and later he also experienced God’s power during a personal prayer with Stano. Together, we found the meaning of Jesus Christ in our lives.
One evening, our restaurant was completely full. The owner of the hotel came with a small piece of paper that had a license plate number written on it. The car had to be moved at her request because it was parked incorrectly and blocking the way to the hotel and our restaurant. I started wondering how I would find the person who owned that car. Since I have experienced the living Jesus, who helps in everyday situations, I said, “Lord Jesus, please help me.” Suddenly, my eyes were drawn to one table. I went there, and incredible! In our restaurant, we also have a “Table with Jesus,” where we meet with friends, even with the owner of the place, to talk about Jesus and how He works in our lives. We want to continue spreading God’s light among people so that they, too, may find the meaning of life, salvation, and God’s help in everyday life and in every situation. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.“

Being connected to prayer groups and having personal prayers with Stano strengthens me greatly. Over time, I began to understand what God teaches us about gifts. That is, about supporting God’s work. Since the times of the Old Testament, God has led people to support His servants through their work, so they could fully dedicate themselves to spiritual service and help others to be protected and blessed. Supporting God’s work continued in the New Testament and continues to this day, so that God’s servants can fully minister to people in God’s power.
We have personal experiences of how Jesus has helped us many times through Stano’s prayers. Therefore, in faith and through God’s inspiration, we began regularly supporting God’s work.
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”
(Bible – Hebrews 13:16–17)
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.“

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.“

God was glorified exactly as He promises in His Word; the Bible. The financial gifts we regularly send to support God’s work are returning to us many times over. At the beginning of August, according to gastronomic experts and people in this field, there shouldn’t have been enough customers. I started to worry about how we would manage everything and whether it would be better to go on vacation to avoid the expenses. I began to pray about it and wrote to Stano, asking how we could handle the situation. His advice was not to worry about tomorrow but to look to Jesus, who already knows what we need.
Jesus was truly glorified in this situation. Not only did we not close the restaurant, we had the highest earnings of the entire year 2023!
In addition, based on customer reviews, the Restaurant Guru platform sent us a certificate for being the most recommended restaurant. Even in this, we see God’s work and how He blesses us.
Jesus is love, and when we act in love, we see that our guests are happy. We believe our restaurant exists for His glory, because we bring love, and when the right opportunity comes, we gladly share with our guests how Jesus can be real in their lives too.
