🦵 My son has a problem with his knee. Once, while skating, it even popped out. We went to the hospital and the doctors examined him, had an X-ray and put a cast on him. Since then, it has happened to him often, and fluid is still forming in his knee.
He can’t go to the surgery, because the doctor told him that after the surgery, he will have to be on sick leave for at least 4-5 months.
However, he would only receive minimal sick pay, which wouldn’t be enough to cover his rent.
One evening, he called me to say that he couldn’t go to work in the morning because his knee was full of fluid.
That he had to go to the doctor in the morning because he couldn’t bend his knee at all, nor drive. He asked me if I would take him to the doctor. Of course, I said yes.
The next morning at 6:00 am, my phone rang, and my son was crying and saying, “Mom, I can’t take it anymore.” He is 22 years old. The last time I saw him cry, he was a child, maybe 10 years old.
He was in a lot of pain. But I am 200 km away from him, so I wouldn’t be there for him for at least 2 hours. So I immediately called my brother to ask him to take time off work because my son needed his help.
My brother came to him with a friend because his son couldn’t even lean on his leg. So they put him in the car. The doctor drained the fluid from his knee, and that was all. He said that the fluid would keep building up in his knee until surgery.
4 days later in the evening, my son called me again and said that his knee was very swollen. All I could think of was to pray. That evening, he also called my daughter, his older sister, who is also in a relationship with our Lord.
I told my son to go to the doctor at 7 in the morning, so that he wouldn’t wait until his pain got worse like last time. He said, „Okay, Mom, I’ll call you in the morning.“
It was morning, and he didn’t call. So I called him at 8:00. He picked me up with a sleepy voice and said to me: „Mom, I slept all night, my knee doesn’t hurt, and the pain just went away on its own. I can’t believe how.“
I replied: „The Lord healed you. I prayed and begged Him.“
My daughter joined in, wondering how she was doing. She also said that she had prayed for her brother’s recovery that evening.
Lord heard the prayers. Thank you, Jesus 💖
